Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

We endeavour to deliver immediately on payment clearing in our Absa bank account. Interbank transfers can take 2-3 days to clear. Order shipment seldom exceeds 2-3 business days from payment clearing.


While we try to hold enough stock, if a product does sell out it may still be ordered but will be subject to delays associated with importing, customs clearance and international courier delays. Backorders are typically placed at the beginning of the next month and arrive in our facility approximately two weeks later. Paid up backorders are packed and sent out as soon as possible – typically the next day.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur. These are typically out of our hands.

PostNet may experience delays. These will be communicated on an individual basis.

Shipment via PostNet

SmartBoat ships via PostNet to Postnet addresses within the South Africa

SmartBoat does not ordinarily ship to P.O. boxes.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation message once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active on the PostNet website Tracking page.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

SmartBoat is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


SmartBoat is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside South Africa without prior arrangement.

We can upon special request deliver to other countries. Contact us for a quote.
